My name, Zannatul, means Heaven. In the religion of Islam our names are very important to us. We believe that our name reflects ourselves. I have learned that I am strong enough to face any obstacle.

My life story is very different from other people. I am from Bangladesh. I was living with my parents and grandmother. When I was seven years old, my mom came to the United States of America for a better future. I was left with my grandmother and my father.

  When I was in second grade, a friend and I were sitting around talking about our future when we heard A loud Boom we just ran and stood by the window. We saw a man who was working out by the road fixing electronic devices  just fall down. Unfortunately, I heard someone say in a loud voice that he is no more. That man didn’t even have enough time to go to the hospital. There was no one to help him . That day I promised myself, one day I will become a doctor and I will save people. I believe that everyone has a right to survive. 

In 2017, my father and I came to the United States of America to join my mother. Nine years ago when my mother came to the United States of America, I didn’t know that my life would change. I didn’t even think I would also come to the United States of America. Almost four years ago I came to the United States of America and started the eighth grade. I remember I was interested in Medical Science. I was passionate about learning new things in science class. I didn’t even eat lunch in school because I started studying during lunch time. Because I was worried that I would not be a doctor in the future when I didn’t know how to speak English very well. And I was thinking that I will not be able to speak in english very well. 

I believe that if I try something very hard then I can achieve anything that I want. After that they put me in ninth grade. And I was in a new school where I didn’t know anyone. In the beginning of the year I faced so many problems, but still I didn’t lose my hope because I have to do something in life that’s why I work hard. Now, I am able to read and write in English, I am ready to begin my journey in becoming a Doctor one day. If I get a chance to study in this college then I will be one step ahead to achieve my goals. This college will help me to get more knowledge in science, and other subjects that really can help me to become a doctor.
